MAY 2021 MONTHLY UPDATE
A Note from the CEO
2 Peter 3:18 — “…but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.”
The Apostle Peter closes his second letter to the scattered and persecuted church by encouraging them to pursue Christian maturity and a deepening knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. To grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ is to increase in our understanding and acceptance of the merciful kindness and undeserved favor offered freely by our Savior and King.
Given these profound truths are revealed in scripture, may we be reminded that millions of oral learners in the world may never learn of these truths as they do not have access to the Bible in audible form. Please join us as we press forward with the Kingdom work of recording audio bibles.
We continue the pace of completing 3-4 audio bibles each month and anticipate a record of five new completions by the end of May. Our efforts in India were put on hold briefly as our team there fell ill with COVID, when the country experienced a resurgence leading to lockdowns. Sadly, the narrator of our Tamil recording passed and many on our team are still recovering (see prayer requests below). However, by God’s grace recordings in India have resumed.
I encourage you to take two minutes to watch the video below from our friends Dan and Lynn, as they share why they chose to support the recording of the Haryanvi Bible in India. We join Dan and Lynn in giving Jesus Christ all the glory, both now and to the day of eternity.
Blessings,
-W. Mark Perkins, CEO
