Have You Heard?

1 in 3 people cannot read their own language. They are oral learners and need to listen to understand.

Over 500 translations are without a full audio Bible, and millions of oral learners do not have access to God’s Word.

There are billions of oral learners worldwide who need to hear God’s Word to understand His love for them.

PEOPLE CANNOT READ THEIR OWN LANGUAGE

The life-changing value of a written Bible is lost to them if not shared orally. They are oral learners – language is passed down through spoken word.

The Great Need for Audio Bibles

We believe all people should know the God of the Bible who made them and that his truths are not bound to the reader or ink on paper. That’s why we strive to create opportunities for oral learners to experience the Bible in their home language.

THE IMPACT OF AUDIO BIBLES

Learn how audio bibles are making an impact for God’s Kingdom by providing oral learners with access to God’s Word so that they may listen, learn, and live.

The audio Bible is very beneficial for our language, many people in our village are illiterate, they cannot read the Bible, but listening to the audio will be a blessing for them.

Spreading the Word of God is a very risky job in our area. With the Pashto audio Bible, my work has become quite easy. In past we had to carry book versions. Now I don’t have to take big risks.

There is an acute shortage of biblical resources in Tajik language. In a secular state of Tajikistan religious activities are closely monitored. Audio Bible in Tajik language helps us work under the radar.

Blessed to be a Blessing

"Jennifer and I have known about Davar for quite some time. However, we did not realize the impact that audio access to the Scriptures had with so many under and un-reached people groups.  This “investment leverage” was so compelling that we simply had to be a part of the ministry. God has blessed us - and we believe that we are “blessed to be a blessing”. We want to be a part of building the Kingdom of God, especially to those image-bearers who have had limited or no access to the saving knowledge of Jesus’ work that we learn through the Scriptures. Audio Scriptures can at times go where no missionary can - what an amazing tool to reach the world!"

God's Word for ALL

"Our motive for supporting Davar stems from our strong desire for ALL people to know Him and have access to His Word. We believe in Davar's overall mission and methods. We count it a great privilege to partner with this ministry!"

Family & Friends Making an Impact

"Patty and I were so excited to share Davar’s unique ministry with family and friends in Waco. Our “Waco Group” funded new audio translations of the Bible. It was a blessing to share this ministry with friends and to join together in making God’s Word available to the world."

Blessed to Be Used By God

"India is just a tough area to spread the gospel, and when you look at the illiteracy rate among the elderly and women it is significantly higher than the average, and that really touched our hearts. It is a relatively small investment that has a massive reach, and it is just going to be given away. Many will have the opportunity to hear the Gospel for the very first time and they could come to the Lord. What better example of the gospel can you have?"

Grateful to Support Davar

"It's such an exciting time for Great Commission ministry, where technological advances and cooperation among the people of God are helping take the treasure of God's Word to every tribe and language and people and nation, to praise of His glorious grace! We are so thankful for the ministry of Davar to the billions of oral language learners across the globe, and for the opportunity to support it!"

A Privilege to Support Davar

"We count it a privilege to support Davar. It is exciting to partner with a ministry that is sharing God's Word in an audio format with many who many not have otherwise had the opportunity to hear the gospel.

Davar is effectively fulfilling Romans 10:14, How, then, can they call on the one they have not beleived in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?"

People are waiting to hear the Word of God

REGIONAL AUDIO BIBLE NEEDS

Millions of people have received the scriptures, yet may be unable to fully experience God’s Word. Explore opportunities to partner with us to record audio bibles for those who might not otherwise hear.

According to Globalization Partners International, Africa is home to one-third of the world’s languages with more than 2,000 distinct languages spoken on the continent consisting of 54 countries. Considering the rates of poverty and illiteracy, having audio bibles is crucial to reaching the people of Africa. Davar has recorded more audio bibles in Africa than any other place, with over 147 recordings in 31 countries. With recording studios in seven different African countries, Davar intends to continue recording audio bibles in Africa for the many still waiting to hear God’s Word in their home language.

JOHN 3:16 IN MAASAI

There are 1.3 billion people in India and hundreds of languages spoken among the people groups of India including 22 nationally recognized languages. Davar began recording in India in the fall of 2020, we have now completed 55 audio bibles for South Asia with more planned in 2023.

Indonesia has the greatest concentration of Muslims in the world, yet it is the most listened to audio that Davar has published to YouVersion. Davar continues to partner with the local Bible society to record more audio bibles for those waiting to hear God’s Word in their home language.

JOHN 3:16 IN GUJARATI

Davar has recorded nine audio bibles for the people of Egypt, Iran, Iraq and Pakist. Violence and persecution in the area have prevented Christians from being able to gather in traditional church settings. Additionally, a lack of formal education for women has led to illiteracy. Having an audio bible available through their smartphone allows the Word of God to reach the people of the Middle East.

JOHN 3:16 IN PUNJABI

Davar first began recording in South America in 2021 for the Quechua people of Peru. They make up 12 million people who speak 46 different languages and live in small villages spread among the mountains of inland Peru. Davar has now completed 5 audio bibles for the Quechua tribes and, in 2023, has plans to record in Mexico, Suriname, and Guatemala. Discussions are underway  to reach other South American countries in need of audio bibles to reach the blind, illiterate and oral preference learners of South America.

GENESIS 1:1 IN QUECHUA CUZCO

Davar has completed five audio bibles for Asia thus far. In 2023, Davar plans to record the major languages in Russia and China along with a new recording aimed at Russian speakers with a Muslim background. Audio bibles in this region provide a discreet and safe way to travel and share God’s Word among missionaries, churches, bible societies and evangelists.
